MACRO VIRUSES AND MICROSOFT WORD

Most Macro Viruses infecting Microsoft Word Doc files will change Normal.Dot to enable them to replicate. In most cases Microsoft Word will either display an error message or be unable to run if Normal.Dot is corrupted.

V-Buster will erase Normal.Dot if it has been modified by a virus. Microsoft Word will create a new Normal.Dot when you save a file. If you are using an older release of V-Buster and have trouble running Microsoft Word after infection by a Macro Virus, you should manually erase Normal.Dot as follows:-
